The story
In 1993, in Guben, a small East German town on the Polish border, a kid drew a keyboard in the back of a notebook — there wasn't a real one in the house — and pretend-typed on it for hours, because he wanted to write software years before he'd ever touch a computer. CF Soft — his initials, nothing more — is the name that dream eventually got. Thirty-some years later it's a small software house: pay-per-call APIs, browser extensions, and tools built over public records, still one person, still building the thing he wanted to build.
A fifth product, CF Fonts — a WordPress plugin for hosting Google Fonts locally — is currently under appeal with WordPress.org after being flagged as a duplicate of an abandoned original. No decision yet.
Who it is
CF Soft is the software brand of CFAISolutions LLC, based in Sacramento, California. It is built by one person: no employees, no funding, no ads.
